About the

SURPASS-PEDS Study

The SURPASS-PEDS Study will test whether an investigational medication, delivered through a subcutaneous (under the skin) injection, works to treat type 2 diabetes (T2D) in children and teens.

Without treatment, T2D causes sugar to build up in the blood, which can eventually lead to serious consequences such as heart disease, kidney disease, blindness, or amputation.1 We need clinical research to find safe and effective treatments for those with T2D, including children and teens.

There are up to 14 in-person visits and 6 phone visits in the study, which can last up to 60 weeks. Approximately 90 participants will be enrolled, and participants may be compensated for time and travel.
